| DESCRIPTION | In this class you will learn about all of the basic tools used in woodworking. The use, care, and sharpening of these tools will be discussed and demonstrated. You will make a half lap joint in wood after having first hand-planed and prepared your stock. Power hand tools will be thoroughly explored, and how and where they fit into your shop. Large shop cabinet equipment will be discussed and demonstrated. During these demonstrations you will also receive hands on experience using proper and safe techniques. Shop safety will be continually discussed and stressed throughout. | |

| DESCRIPTION | Learn how to layout and design a mortise and tenon joint for all applications. The characteristics of solid wood will be discussed and fully illuminated, so that students can better utilize the strength of the material. You will make a small occasional table during this class to demonstrate all that you have learned. Safe machine operation and power tool safety will also be stressed in this class as well. | |

| DESCRIPTION | In this class you supply your own plans and materials. Once approved, we will supply all the tools, equipment, and knowledge you will need to successfully build your project. You not only will learn a lot of techniques from your project, but you will also learn techniques from the other projects being constructed in this class. Class size is limited for obvious reasons, and we will have to approve your project prior to the class because of space limitations. | |
